The Mission of Earth Rising is to provide a recreational retreat center in a natural setting for the purpose of cultural and spiritual education.

Goals: This Mission will be met through the achievement of certain goals. These goals are:

To encourage the free exchange of ideas, views and experiences.
To promote greater understanding and respect between groups and individuals.
To support ecologically sound practices and land and wildlife conservation in the belief that the Earth and all life are interrelated and interdependent, and that respect for all life is a Universal Mandate.
To provide sanctuary to people who have experienced oppression or discrimination due to their cultural or spiritual practices.

About Camp Gaea

Gaea Retreat Center is a 168 acre property in a rural setting within an hour's drive of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The primary goal of Gaea Retreat Center is to provide a private, natural retreat area for a variety of people of all spiritual traditions, marginalized groups and LGBTQIA+ individuals to promote a feeling of connection with the land and the people on it

Gaea Retreat Center offers a 12-acre lake with a sandy swimming area, plenty of tent camping spots, and open spaces for sports and activities.

Facilities include a large pavilion with a stage, an air-conditioned meeting hall, a dining hall with a full kitchen, and nine rentable cabins—one with A/C for special health needs. Guests have access to flush restrooms and heated showers.

With gardens and secluded spots for meditation, Gaea provides a peaceful retreat for camping, day use, and gatherings of all kinds. Maintained by Earth Rising, Inc., it welcomes individuals and groups of diverse spiritual paths.
