Earth Day 2026: Dungeons and Dirt
Restoring the Realm
The Quest Begins
April 25-27
Earth Day: Dungeon and Dirt – Restoring the Realm invites you and your party to take part in something larger than any one adventurer. Here, the realm is not saved by lone champions, but by the steady, collective work of a community willing to tend, repair, and restore what has been worn.
As the first festival of our season, this gathering marks a powerful reawakening at Gaea Retreat Center. Over the winter months, hands have come together to mend what needed mending, to rebuild what was breaking down, and to breathe new life into this land. Earth Day is your invitation to step into that ongoing story, not just as a spectator, but as part of the force that sustains it.
This event also serves as a fundraiser for Camp Gaea, supporting the continued care, maintenance, and growth of the space we all share. Every workshop attended, every meal shared, every moment of presence contributes directly to the health and future of the land.
Shared Quests & Workshops
Rather than feats of conquest, the work here is grounded, tangible, centered in learning and experiences:
Children’s Classes and Nature Activities
Rain Barrel Building Workshop
Community Ritual Workshop
Native Flora Class
Plarn (Plastic Yarn) Workshop
Composting Foundations
First Aid & Herbalism
Each offering is a piece of the whole; small actions that, together, restore balance to the realm.
The Rhythm of the Realm
Days are spent learning, building, tending, and connecting. Not as isolated attendees, but as a living network of community.
As evenings gather we draw closer.
Community potlucks invite us to nourish one another.
Fires burn nightly, holding space for connection, laughter, and reflection.
Ritual and ceremony weave through the weekend, grounding the work in intention and shared purpose.
This is not just a passive festival. It is a collective act.
A reminder that the land does not thrive because of any one of us, but because of all of us, showing up.
The realm is restored through community.
Join us, and take your place in the party.

Restoring the Realm
No hero was called here.
The land asks only for hands.
So we gather,
to tend, to mend,
to love what was worn back into balance.
Not in grand gestures,
but in small, steady acts:
water carried, fires kept,
meals shared, soil turned.
And slowly,
the realm remembered itself.
If there is a story to tell, it is this:
we did not save the world.
We cared for it, together,
until it began to heal.
