Earth Day 2025: A Gaea Festival (Exclusive)
Celebrate Earth Day with us at Gaea Retreat Center during a two-day family-friendly festival starting at noon on Friday, April 25th, 2025! Immerse yourself in earth-centered workshops like composting, living plastic-free, and container gardening. Enjoy a variety of activities, including rituals, children’s nature walks, a plant and seed exchange, an art show, and a collaborative community art project.
Share meals at our community potlucks, and unwind with evening fires and time to connect with others in Gaea’s inclusive and welcoming environment. Whether you’re an environmentalist, a curious learner, or a family looking to celebrate, there’s something for everyone.

Spring is just around the corner, and the Fire Horde is back in action! Join us for a day of wood-gathering and forest care as we prepare for the seasonal festivals and fire rituals at Gaea Retreat Center. This event combines hard work, environmental stewardship, and community spirit.
Not only will we gather firewood for the fires that symbolize renewal and transformation, but we’ll also engage in important forestry practices to keep the land healthy and vibrant for the year ahead.
Come connect with the Earth, the fire, and our amazing community of volunteers. After a day of work, we’ll gather to reflect and share a meal to celebrate our efforts.

Kick off the new year with a day of service! Join the Fire Horde at Gaea Retreat Center for a winter Wood Bust. This event focuses on preparing the land and gathering firewood for upcoming festivals, while supporting the sustainable practices that keep our retreat center thriving.
Through teamwork and care, we’ll tend to the forest, gathering materials for future celebrations and ensuring that Gaea remains a safe, nurturing space for all. Whether you’re chopping, hauling, or simply connecting with nature, there’s a role for you.
At the end of the day, we’ll share stories and warmth over a communal meal.
Come for the firewood, stay for the community.
Be sure to bring gloves, warm clothes, and a spirit of camaraderie.
